Supporting the Development of Comprehensive Community Needs Assessments
Welcome to the Community Action Partnership’s Comprehensive Community Needs Assessment (CCNA) Online Tool. This tool was developed by the Center for Applied Research and Environmental Systems (CARES) at the University of Missouri in cooperation with the Community Action Partnership National Association, the Missouri Association for Community Action, and the New York State Community Action Association.

This tool provides basic data on counties and states through an online data retrieval system and provides you with a downloadable, and editable, Microsoft Word document which can serve as a basis for conducting a more detailed CCNA. Try it now to see how easy it is to create a starting point for your CSBG Community Assessment or Head Start Community Assessment.

This tool is FREE to Community Action Agencies and CSBG Eligible Entities.

What is the Community Needs Assessment Online Tool?
A tool providing quick and easy access to information from multiple Federal and other national data sources for any state or county in the nation. Information can be viewed for one or more counties or states, and is summarized using easy to read tables and charts. The resulting report also includes interpretive statements and hyperlinked data sources for better understanding the information.

Selected basic information for the area, including the following topics:
